Smartee Expands Dental Technology to Prosthodontics
Smartee Denti-Technology has launched its S22 technology, applying the GS MART method for occlusal reconstruction. The new application extends the company's GS MART technology from orthodontics into prosthodontics.
Shenzhen-based Smartee Denti-Technology has introduced its S22 technology, intended for occlusal reconstruction in prosthodontic dentistry. The company is expanding its GS MART (Mandibular Repositioning Technology) from its previous applications in orthodontics to encompass new areas within dental care.
Developed in collaboration with Professor Gang Shen's orthodontic team at Taikang Dental Group, the S22 system utilizes GS MART principles that focus on mandibular position and occlusal function within treatment planning. Previously, the GS MART method has been applied to manage complex malocclusions using specially designed clear aligners.
The new S22 technology aims to address occlusal issues stemming from significant tooth wear or tooth loss. In such cases, restoring tooth structure may not be sufficient without also addressing the underlying mandibular position. The digital workflow of the S22 method supports sequential treatment planning, where mandibular repositioning is performed before definitive occlusal reconstruction.
Smartee Denti-Technology stated it will continue to collaborate with clinical experts to explore further multidisciplinary applications of the GS technology. The company aims to support the development of digital treatment workflows in both orthodontics and prosthodontics.
