PALMA DE MALLORCA, Spain – Smartee Denti-Technology concluded its first European academic summit, the Smartee European Summit 2026, in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on September 19, 2026. The event brought together nearly 300 orthodontic experts and clinicians from 27 countries.
The summit addressed topics including GS mandibular repositioning technology, the management of complex malocclusions, early orthodontic treatment, and dental sleep medicine and airway-related care. Two new products, Smartee SA/SA Plus and Smartee AG KIDS, were also launched internationally during the event.
At the summit, Smartee Founder and CEO Junfeng Yao discussed the company's integration of artificial intelligence into its products and systems, as well as into internal workflows aimed at improving the efficiency of clinical support for doctors. Throughout the two-day program, European and Asian speakers shared clinical cases, research developments, and treatment perspectives across various areas of orthodontic practice.
The first day focused on GS mandibular repositioning technology and its clinical application in managing malocclusions involving mandibular positional discrepancies. The second day expanded the program to early orthodontic treatment and the management of sleep apnea. Speakers emphasized the importance of careful patient selection and three-dimensional evaluation for mandibular repositioning, noting that it may offer an additional clinical approach for selected adults with Class II malocclusion, with further international research and practice being vital for the field's development.
