Smart has revealed its new "精灵 2 号" model, seen in a camouflaged test version on the streets of Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai. The fully electric, two-seater car is slated for a near-future launch in the Chinese market.

The "精灵 2 号", developed from a concept unveiled earlier this year, is built on the company's proprietary ECA architecture. The vehicle is noted for its tight turning radius of 6.95 meters. It is powered by a 35.7 kWh battery offering a CLTC range of approximately 400 km, with DC fast charging from 10% to 80% taking just 20 minutes.

According to data released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the "精灵 2 号" measures between 2751-2764 mm in length, 1669 mm in width, and 1555 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1875 mm, and the vehicle's curb weight is 1130 kg, with a top speed of 140 km/h.

The car is equipped with a 60 kW electric motor and uses a lithium iron phosphate battery, with cells supplied by CATL. It features an anti-lock braking system and an event data recorder (EDR).
