Smokeball Announces 2026 Beacon Award Winners Honoring Legal Professionals

Smokeball, a provider of AI-powered legal practice management software, has announced the winners of its 2026 Beacon Awards. The annual awards recognize legal professionals for their commitment to expanding access to justice, empowering underserved communities, and driving meaningful change through service.

This year's recipients include Elleni Kalouris, a family law attorney who founded her practice to provide free and reduced-fee legal services to underserved families, particularly survivors of domestic violence and immigrant communities. Kalouris has dedicated approximately 100 hours to pro bono work in the past six months.

Luke Shealey, a South Carolina attorney, was recognized for his work with the nonprofit organization Suzerain. He provides nationwide training to attorneys representing indigent clients in capital cases, sharing specialized jury selection strategies. His training recently helped a Michigan defense team secure a plea offer rather than face a potential death sentence.

Krysle I. Myers, founder of Eleven Law Firm, was honored for her dedication to legal education and community empowerment. Through her Stiletto Boss University initiative, she has educated over 4,000 girls and young women in entrepreneurship, intellectual property, and financial literacy. Myers has also trained nonprofit leaders and contributed over 1,150 hours of volunteer and reduced-fee legal services.

Smokeball's platform offers features such as automatic time tracking, streamlined workflows, and document automation. The 2026 Beacon Award recipients will be celebrated at Smokeball's Spark 2026 conference in Chicago on October 15.
