Snap reports over 30 million paid subscribers
Snap has surpassed 30 million paid subscribers for its Snapchat+ and associated services. The milestone follows mixed financial results as the company faces pressures on ad revenue and user growth.

Snap has officially surpassed 30 million paid subscribers across its Snapchat+, Lens+, and expanded storage tiers. This represents an increase of five million users since February 2026, when the platform reported 25 million subscribers.
Snap has aggressively diversified its monetization strategy over the past year. Following a controversial decision in late 2025 to limit free storage for the Memories feature, the company has effectively funneled users toward its subscription models. CEO Evan Spiegel credited AI-powered features within the Lens+ tier for exceeding company expectations, though he acknowledged that paid users still account for a small fraction of the platform's overall community.
The positive subscription data was overshadowed by broader quarterly results. Snap shares declined 12% following the announcement, as the company missed analyst estimates for both daily active users and advertising revenue. The firm reported 495 million daily active users, failing to reach the 499 million projected by the market.
