Snapchat Introduces 'Plans' Feature for Event Organization
Snapchat is rolling out a new feature called 'Plans' to simplify event planning and coordination directly within the app. The tool aims to convert group chat discussions into actual meetups.

Snapchat has launched a new feature named 'Plans', designed to facilitate event organization and social gatherings directly within its messaging platform. The tool aims to streamline the process of turning informal group chat discussions into concrete real-life events, such as parties or study sessions.
The 'Plans' feature allows users to set event details, including dates and times, and invite up to 200 friends. Invitations can be customized with dynamic Bitmoji that update based on attendee responses. The system also manages RSVPs and automatically sends reminders to participants before the event.
Snapchat will implement a dedicated 'My Plans' tab on user profiles, providing a central location to view and manage both upcoming and past events. This integration seeks to keep social planning within the Snapchat ecosystem, reducing the need for external planning tools.
The company stated that this feature is intended to make spontaneous and planned meetups more accessible for its user base. The rollout of 'Plans' is part of Snapchat's ongoing effort to enhance its utility beyond ephemeral messaging and into broader social coordination.
