Sobi and Innate Pharma Effective Partnership for Lacutamab Development
Sobi and Innate Pharma have officially launched their strategic partnership, enabling the advancement of lacutamab research for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.
Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (Sobi) and Innate Pharma SA have announced the formal commencement of their previously agreed-upon strategic partnership. The closing conditions for the agreement, including the expiration of applicable antitrust waiting periods, have now been met.
The partnership focuses on the development of the drug candidate lacutamab. This collaboration will now allow for the initiation of the TELLOMAK-3 confirmatory Phase 3 study. The study aims to investigate lacutamab's efficacy in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL), a significant step toward seeking accelerated approval for the drug in Sézary syndrome, a subtype of CTCL.
CTCL is a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that affects the skin. Sobi has previously indicated that the development of lacutamab for CTCL represents a critical advancement in addressing unmet needs for patients with this condition. This partnership is expected to accelerate the path to regulatory submission.
The collaboration will leverage both companies' expertise in hematology and oncology. While the specific financial terms of the partnership have not been disclosed, the companies have stated their commitment to advancing lacutamab through its clinical development program.
