Sobi and Innate Pharma form strategic partnership for lacutamab licensing

Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (Sobi) and French biopharmaceutical company Innate Pharma SA have entered into a strategic partnership agreement. This collaboration will enable Sobi to pursue the development and commercialization of lacutamab, a potential treatment for T-cell lymphoma.

The agreement facilitates the initiation of the confirmatory TELLOMAK-3 study. Lacutamab is a monoclonal antibody targeting KIR3DL2-expressing T-cells and is currently under investigation across multiple oncology indications. Previous clinical studies have indicated its therapeutic potential.

Innate Pharma has previously reported positive clinical data for lacutamab, demonstrating its efficacy in specific subtypes of T-cell lymphoma. This partnership allows Sobi to advance the drug's development, particularly focusing on the North American and European markets.

The financial terms of the deal include an upfront payment to Innate Pharma, with additional milestone payments contingent on future development and commercial achievements. Both companies aim to expedite the delivery of this treatment option to patients with unmet medical needs.
