Sodiaal Completes IT Integration for Yoplait Liberté Canada

French dairy cooperative Sodiaal has successfully integrated the IT systems of Yoplait Liberté Canada into Sodiaal's European SAP environment. The integration, finalized in June 2026, marks one of the most significant IT programs in Sodiaal's history and supports the cooperative's international growth strategy.

The project followed Sodiaal's acquisition of Yoplait Liberté Canada from General Mills. The objective was to establish a common technological and business process foundation between the Canadian operations and Yoplait's existing European activities. This integration enables Sodiaal to manage the Canadian unit as a fully integrated part of the broader Yoplait organization while building a technical foundation for future international expansion.

Accenture served as the IT integration partner, responsible for defining and implementing the integration approach. The project brought together Accenture teams in Paris and Montreal, combining local business knowledge with international delivery capabilities. Deploying the same SAP platform in Canada harmonized core processes and created a unified operational base for both Yoplait's European and Canadian operations.

Sodiaal is owned by approximately 13,900 farmer-members, accounting for about 20% of France's milk collection. The acquisition of Yoplait Liberté Canada was its largest international growth transaction to date. Approximately 25% of Sodiaal's business is already international, with operations in over 40 countries. The goal is to create a scalable foundation for future growth and further acquisitions.
