Sol LeWitt Exhibition Opens at Amorepacific Museum of Art

Seoul, South Korea – The Amorepacific Museum of Art (APMA) will open a significant exhibition dedicated to the work of American conceptual artist Sol LeWitt on September 1. This marks the first major survey of LeWitt's art to be held in Korea.
The exhibition will display a total of 45 works, spanning various phases of the artist's career. Notable among these are 13 wall drawings, meticulously realized according to LeWitt's precise instructions. LeWitt's minimalist and conceptual pieces challenge conventional notions of art creation and perception.
Presented in collaboration with The LeWitt Estate, the exhibition builds upon a previously toured show, expanded and adapted for the APMA. This partnership ensures the authenticity of the artworks and a faithful representation of LeWitt's original concepts.
Sol LeWitt (1928–2007) was a pivotal figure in the conceptual art and minimalist movements. His work emphasized the primacy of the idea and the process in art. The exhibition offers the public an opportunity to engage with his distinctive artistic vision.
