Solana Aims for Faster Transaction Finality, Remittix Prepares for Launch
Solana's Alpenglow upgrade is being tested to reduce transaction finality to 150 milliseconds. Meanwhile, the Remittix payment service is preparing for its public market debut.

Solana's network is undergoing testing of its Alpenglow upgrade, aiming to reduce transaction finality from approximately 12.8 seconds to around 150 milliseconds. This target refers to settlement finality, not block production time, and has yet to be sustained under mainnet market conditions.
The upgrade could make Solana more attractive for payment applications and institutional use cases requiring near-instant certainty. However, the effectiveness of Alpenglow requires further validation, as testnet performance does not guarantee reliability under real-world network congestion or diverse validator hardware.
Concurrently, Remittix, a payment service designed to bridge cryptocurrencies and traditional banking, is transitioning from its presale phase to public markets. The company aims to enable users to send digital assets while recipients receive funds in local fiat currency through bank accounts in over 30 planned currencies.
Remittix has raised over $32 million from more than 40,000 contributors during its presale. The RTX token is currently priced at $0.21, with a final presale stage at $0.46 before its public launch on November 24. The company is focused on simplifying cryptocurrency use for everyday payments and capitalizing on the growth potential of the global remittance market.
