Sonnet Launches 10GbE Thunderbolt 5 Network Adapter
Sonnet has released the Solo10G T5 adapter, which the company claims is the first bus-powered 10GbE Thunderbolt 5 network card. The device utilizes a Marvell AQC113C chip and provides a single RJ-45 port.
Connectivity peripheral manufacturer Sonnet has introduced its Solo10G T5 adapter. The company states this is the first 10 gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) network card to leverage Thunderbolt 5 technology and operate on bus power.
The adapter is built around the Marvell AQC113C chip, offering one 10GbE RJ-45 wired network port. It has a power consumption of 7.5 watts. The device features an aluminum body with passive cooling and includes a replaceable Thunderbolt 5 cable.
Sonnet's Solo10G T5 is compatible with Apple Mac computers and iPad Pro devices equipped with M-series chips. It also supports all Windows and Linux computers featuring Thunderbolt 5/4 or USB interfaces.
