Sony Launches 115-inch RGB LED TV for 149,999 Yuan
Sony has released its new 115-inch flagship XR90M2 model in the 9-series RGB LED televisions. The device is priced at 149,999 yuan.
Tokyo – Electronics giant Sony has introduced a new 115-inch flagship model, the XR90M2, in its 9-series of RGB LED televisions. The device went on sale on August 10 in China with a launch price of 149,999 yuan (approximately $20,600 USD, subject to currency fluctuations).
The new television utilizes Sony's "True RGB" technology, which employs dedicated RGB LED units for precise color reproduction. According to the company, this technology allows for a wider color gamut and enhanced brightness compared to traditional Mini LED televisions, while offering more accurate light control and reducing light bleed.
The TV is engineered to deliver premium picture and sound quality. It features several image enhancement capabilities, including a broad color spectrum, precise grayscale control, cinematic color reproduction, high brightness, and wide viewing angles. The audio system, developed by Sony's acoustics team, includes multiple speakers and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats.
The Sony XR90M2 is also optimized for gaming, particularly for the PlayStation 5 Pro console. It supports features such as automatic HDR mapping, automatic game mode detection, and HDMI 2.1 connectivity, ensuring a smooth gaming experience at high resolutions and refresh rates.
The television has been launched in the Chinese market, with its price reflecting its position as a high-end consumer electronics product. Availability in other regions has not yet been announced.
