Sony Launches Cheaper Bravia 6 OLED TV to Compete in Midrange Market
Sony has officially announced the Bravia 6 OLED TV, a new model positioned to challenge mid-range competitors from LG and Samsung.

Sony has officially unveiled its new Bravia 6 OLED television, aiming to compete directly with mid-range OLED offerings from LG and Samsung. The TV is positioned as a more affordable option within Sony's lineup, sitting below its higher-end OLED and LED models.
The Bravia 6 OLED will be available in five sizes, ranging from 48 to 83 inches. Sony intends for this model to offer a competitive price point against established rivals. The television features a 120Hz panel and runs on the Google TV operating system, integrated with Gemini. It supports key audio and video standards, including Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X.
Connectivity includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, suggesting capabilities for advanced gaming and high-bandwidth content. The inclusion of these ports may also indicate the use of a MediaTek Pentonic 800 System on Chip (SoC), which would enhance the TV's processing power and overall performance.
The introduction of the Bravia 6 OLED addresses the growing demand for high-quality OLED displays at more accessible price points. This move signifies Sony's strategy to expand its market share in the competitive television sector.
