Sony Launches First Full-Frame 8-14mm f/3.5 Fisheye G Zoom Lens

Sony has released the FE 8-14mm f/3.5 Fisheye G (SEL814G), the company's first full-frame fisheye zoom lens. The new lens, designed for ultra-wide perspectives, features a lightweight construction weighing just 314 grams and is priced at 9999 yuan.

The lens captures a 180-degree field of view at its widest 8mm setting and provides a broad perspective at 14mm. It supports both circular and diagonal fisheye effects. When paired with the α9 III camera, its dual linear autofocus motors enable continuous shooting at up to 120 frames per second.

Optically, the lens incorporates one ED aspherical element, two aspherical elements, and four ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements. This configuration aims to minimize chromatic aberration, flare, and ghosting, contributing to high-resolution image quality.

Further specifications include a minimum focusing distance of 0.15 meters, a maximum magnification ratio of 0.22x, and a dust- and moisture-resistant design. The lens also supports rear-insertion filters, enhancing its versatility for various shooting conditions.
