Sony Launches RX10 V Camera for $15,199 Yuan
Sony has introduced the new RX10 V, a compact camera featuring a 20.1-megapixel sensor and a 24-600mm lens. The camera will be released in early August with a retail price of 15,199 yuan.

Sony has officially launched its latest "Cyber-shot" compact camera, the RX10 V. The device targets photographers and videographers seeking versatility and extended zoom capabilities. It is priced at 15,199 yuan (approximately $2,090 USD) in China and is scheduled for release in early August.
The RX10 V is equipped with a 1-inch, 20.1-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS sensor, coupled with dual BIONZ XR image processors. The integrated lens offers a substantial 24-600mm focal range (35mm equivalent) with a variable aperture of F2.4-4.0. This setup allows for a wide array of photographic applications, from close-up macro shots at the wide end to capturing distant subjects with the telephoto reach.
Significant performance upgrades have been implemented, including an increase in continuous shooting speed to 30 frames per second, up from the previous model's 24 fps. The camera also boasts up to 60 AF/AE (autofocus/auto-exposure) calculations per second. A notable enhancement is the AI-powered subject recognition, which now identifies a broader range of subjects, including humans, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains, and airplanes, enabling more precise and rapid focusing.
For video creators, the RX10 V supports uncropped 4K 60p recording and cropped 4K 120p. It features 4:2:2 10-bit color depth, supports S-Cinetone and S-Log3 profiles, and includes enhanced video stabilization. Connectivity has also been improved with the inclusion of a USB-C port (10 Gbps), a higher resolution electronic viewfinder, and an upgraded LCD screen.
