SOS Africa and Mama Upendo Host New Year's Eve Party in Frome
Local African charities SOS Africa and Mama Upendo's Children's Trust are collaborating to host an African-themed New Year's Eve party at the Cheese & Grain in Frome on December 31, 2013.
Two local African charities, SOS Africa and Mama Upendo's Children's Trust, have joined forces to organize an African-themed New Year's Eve party. The event will take place at the Cheese and Grain venue in Frome on December 31, 2013, aiming to raise funds for children in South Africa and Kenya.
The celebration is scheduled to run from 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The evening will feature traditional African cuisine prepared by Sarah Hillman, winner of Channel 4's 'Come Dine with Me.' Live music will be provided by 'Congo Soukous Beats,' supported by acts 'Twin Thing' and 'Kisella.' A bar will be available, and attendees are permitted to bring one bottle of wine per table.
Family-friendly activities are also planned, including entertainment for children. The event serves as an opportunity to celebrate New Year's Eve while contributing to the SOS Africa Charity Children in South Africa and Mama Upendo's Charity orphanage in Kenya. Tickets went on sale November 1st.
Ticket prices are £19.50 for adults, £5 for children, and £45 for a family ticket (two adults and two children). Food is included in the ticket price. Tickets can be purchased from the SOS Africa Shop in Shepton Mallet or the Cheese & Grain Box Office.
