South Korea's NEXUS and Fasset sign stablecoin infrastructure MoU
South Korean blockchain firm NEXUS and Dubai-based digital finance company Fasset have signed an MOU to explore stablecoin-based financial infrastructure for gaming and digital content sectors.

South Korean blockchain infrastructure company NEXUS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dubai-based digital finance company Fasset to explore stablecoin-based financial infrastructure for the gaming and digital content sectors.
The agreement, signed on September 30 at Korea Blockchain Week 2026 in Seoul, aims to link NEXUS’s payment infrastructure with Fasset’s fiat-to-digital-asset conversion infrastructure. The companies intend to pursue a proof of concept for this linkage.
Both entities plan to establish a joint task force that will meet quarterly. Their discussions will focus on cooperation regarding stablecoin infrastructure linked to both the South Korean won and the United Arab Emirates dirham. Fasset recently became an approved distribution partner for DDSC, a UAE dirham-pegged stablecoin.
This collaboration occurs as South Korea continues to shape its regulatory framework for stablecoins. The Financial Services Commission is coordinating with the Bank of Korea and the Ministry of Finance, while policymakers are also considering liquidity rules for won-denominated stablecoins.
