Southern Company's electric utilities have restored power to the majority of their customers in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaias. As of Tuesday evening, Alabama Power, Georgia Power, and Mississippi Power had restored service to approximately 420,000 customers, according to the company. An estimated 80,000 households remain without power, primarily in Alabama, which experienced the storm's strongest impact.

The company employed experienced teams and advanced storm intelligence technologies, including artificial intelligence, to facilitate repairs. Proactive resource positioning and accelerated decision-making were enabled by predictive analytics and real-time data.

More than 6,400 external personnel from across the United States supported the restoration efforts, augmented by the company's internal resources.
