Southern Glazer's Workers in Oklahoma Join Teamsters Union
Over 115 drivers and warehouse workers at Southern Glazer's facilities across Oklahoma have voted for representation with Local 516, joining a growing unionization effort.
More than 115 drivers and warehouse workers at Southern Glazer's distribution centers in Oklahoma have voted to join Teamsters Local 516. The vote concluded on October 8, 2026.
The workers represent multiple Southern Glazer's locations within the state. Local 516 is affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, a union that has seen increased organization among beverage distribution workers nationwide.
The move to unionize was reportedly driven by concerns over working conditions and contract terms. Union representatives stated their intention to engage in negotiations with the company's management.
Southern Glazer's is the largest distributor of alcoholic beverages in the United States. This action reflects a broader trend of workers seeking collective bargaining representation across the company's operations.
