Southern Home Services expands Houston footprint with Vanderford acquisition

Southern Home Services completed the acquisition of Vanderford Air and Plumbing, based in League City, Texas, on November 2, 2026. This transaction represents the company's second entry into the Houston market, following the 2025 acquisition of Nick's Plumbing & Air Conditioning.

The acquisition aims to bolster the company's service capacity for heating, air conditioning, and plumbing across the Houston region. Southern Home Services operates as a platform for local service brands, providing centralized resources and operational infrastructure to support its regional subsidiaries.

Jarrod Brinker, Chief Strategy Officer at Southern Home Services, stated that the company intends to maintain the local branding and established customer relationships of the firms it acquires. The move aligns with the company's ongoing strategy of scaling operations by integrating independent local service providers into its broader network.
