Sovi AI Tutor Tracks Learning Mastery, Moves Beyond Homework Answers
Sovi AI, an artificial intelligence-powered learning platform, aims to foster deep understanding by continuously tracking student mastery and adapting educational content to individual needs.

Sovi AI has launched a new AI-powered learning platform designed to personalize education for high school and college students. Moving beyond simple homework solvers, the platform focuses on continuously tracking students' mastery levels, learning preferences, and academic goals to build lasting understanding.
Founded by former math teacher Michael Yang, the inspiration for Sovi AI stemmed from his experience observing that students learn best when educational material connects to their personal interests. "The challenge is that education often relies on standardized curricula, while individualized tutoring remains prohibitively expensive for many families," the company stated.
The platform utilizes multimodal AI to adapt study materials. It can process diverse student inputs, including chat messages, photos, uploaded documents, or lecture recordings. Based on this data, Sovi AI generates customized explanations, practice exercises, and challenges, often incorporating gamification elements tailored to the student's current proficiency.
Since its launch in late 2025, Sovi AI has gained significant traction, attracting over one million users and achieving 1,000% growth in 2026. The company emphasizes its focus on persistent mastery tracking over one-off answers, differentiating itself from competitors like Gauth and Photomath. Sovi AI is also planning a new funding round, seeking to raise between $5 million and $8 million.
