Space for Humanity Seeks New Space Communicators with Application Deadline Approaching
Space for Humanity has opened applications for its "Take Off in Zero-G" initiative, aiming to identify and support the next generation of space and science communicators. The application deadline is July 15.

Space for Humanity, a nonprofit organization, is seeking new space and science communicators through its "Take Off in Zero-G" program. The final application day is tomorrow, and the program encourages aspiring storytellers globally to submit their entries.
The initiative combines the experience of zero-gravity flight with mentorship and storytelling training. Selected participants, particularly from underrepresented regions, will receive a seat on a Space for Humanity flight departing from Bordeaux, France, on August 26, 2026. Beyond the flight, they will get guidance from established science communication mentors to enhance their skills, grow their audience, and launch science-focused social media channels.
"The future of space needs more voices," said Antonio Peronace, Executive Director of Space for Humanity. "By empowering communicators from underrepresented regions, we hope to broaden access to knowledge, inspire curiosity, and bring new perspectives to the story of exploration."
The program builds upon Space for Humanity's previous zero-gravity flights, which have included scientists, educators, and advocates worldwide. "Take Off in Zero-G" continues the organization's mission to make transformative space experiences accessible to individuals from all backgrounds. Applicants are required to follow the organization's social media, complete an online form, and create a public video answering specific questions about their aspirations in space communication and its importance in their region. The hashtag #TakeOffInZeroG must be included.
