SpaceX releases new Starlink dish for select areas
SpaceX has begun distributing its latest residential Starlink dish, the V5, in select regions. The new model is smaller and lighter than its predecessor.

SpaceX has started delivering its latest residential Starlink dish, the V5, in "select areas." The new V5 model is notably smaller and lighter than the previous V4 dish, while also improving power efficiency.
The company aims to meet growing global demand with the new design. SpaceX stated that the V5 dish is not intended for in-motion use, with a separate Starlink Mini model being developed for that purpose.
Production is being ramped up to expand availability of the V5, which is designed to provide high-speed home internet. The smaller form factor and lighter weight are key improvements over the older V4 hardware.
While initially available in limited regions, SpaceX plans broader rollout as production scales. The V5 offers enhanced power efficiency compared to earlier models, aiming for a better user experience.
