Sparkassen Modernize Commercial Lending with Digital Strategy

Finanz Informatik, in collaboration with the German Savings Banks Association (DSGV), has initiated a strategic project named "Gewerbliches Kreditgeschäft der Zukunft (GdZ)" (Future of Commercial Lending). This initiative aims to modernize and digitalize the credit granting processes for savings bank (Sparkasse) business clients.

The project seeks to establish a modular, digital framework that allows for significant automation and a seamless omni-channel customer experience. This modernization is crucial as commercial clients represent a substantial portion of savings banks' revenue, averaging 43 percent, despite comprising only five percent of the total customer base. By digitizing standard cases, advisors can dedicate more time to complex lending scenarios.

The objective of the GdZ strategy is to boost efficiency and customer satisfaction, thereby securing the long-term competitiveness and profitability of the savings banks. The project consolidates 56 distinct measures, categorized into key "fields of action," all designed to deliver tangible benefits.

Participating savings banks, such as Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden and Sparkasse Vest Recklinghausen, view this project as an opportunity to meet evolving demands. The revamped processes are intended to address businesses' need for swift, digitally supported financing advice and processing.
