The Spartanburg County Foundation has awarded a grant to Palmetto InnovaSphere to support the implementation of AIBody, a digital physiology and clinical simulation platform, at Spartanburg Community College (SCC) and VCOM–Carolinas. This initiative is designed to incorporate advanced technology into regional academic training programs.

Developed to bridge the gap between theoretical science and practical application, the AIBody platform utilizes AI-enabled computational models to help students analyze physiological responses and clinical scenarios. Unlike static models, this platform allows users to explore the biological mechanisms behind patient symptoms.

Palmetto InnovaSphere CEO Cecilia Zapata-Harms stated that the project aligns with the organization's objective to move life science technologies into real-world educational environments.

Academic partners have already conducted preliminary pilot programs. SCC plans to expand the use of the platform across nursing and emergency medical programs, while VCOM–Carolinas will incorporate the software into medical simulations to support clinical decision-making training.
