Speciality Chemicals Startup NuSynth Raises ₹36.5 Crore Seed Funding
Bengaluru-based NuSynth Technologies has secured ₹36.5 crore (approx. $4 million) in seed funding co-led by Avaana Capital and Shastra VC. The capital will boost R&D and technology capabilities.

Bengaluru, India – NuSynth Technologies, a startup focused on speciality chemicals, has raised ₹36.5 crore (approximately $4 million) in a seed funding round. The round was co-led by venture capital firms Avaana Capital and Shastra VC. The company plans to allocate the funds towards strengthening its research and development (R&D) capabilities, developing proprietary chemical processes, building scale-up infrastructure, and expanding its workforce.
Founded in 2026 by Poorvank Purohit, Ramesha A R, Abhishek Deo, and Dipak Bajaj, NuSynth aims to innovate chemical synthesis using a combination of R&D and artificial intelligence (AI). The startup initially targets chemicals for the pharmaceutical and electronics sectors, seeking to overcome challenges associated with traditional synthesis methods, such as complex multi-step reactions, high costs, and reliance on imported intermediates.
NuSynth's processes are designed to reduce reaction steps, eliminate hazardous reagents, and lower energy requirements, according to investors. Avaana Capital noted that the company utilizes an asset-light manufacturing model, partnering with Indian manufacturers to scale its laboratory-developed processes. The startup also employs an AI-enabled R&D platform to accelerate molecule selection and process development.
This funding highlights investor interest in India's deeptech sector, particularly in industrial and manufacturing innovations. Indian deeptech startups collectively raised $290 million across 28 deals in the third quarter of 2026, indicating significant growth in the segment.
