Spider-Man: Brand New Day will join The Odyssey on IMAX screens across North America starting Thursday, August 6th, IMAX announced on Monday. The move comes after both films were part of the biggest box office weekend in history.
The Odyssey had been enjoying a three-weekend exclusive run in IMAX theaters. The arrangement allows Spider-Man: Brand New Day to play alongside it, as reported by Variety.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day grossed $355 million following its July 31st release. This figure marks the second-biggest box office debut in North America since Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
The shared screen time comes as the overall box office revenue shattered records this past weekend, driven largely by the strong performances of these two major film releases.
