Spirit of Children Aims for $20 Million to Improve Children's Hospital Experiences

Spirit of Children, the charitable arm of Spirit Halloween, has set a $20 million fundraising target during its current Halloween campaign. The funds are designated to support vital Child Life programs and enhance the hospital experience for children.

The organization is hosting its annual Spirit of Children Week from October 12–16. During this week, Halloween celebrations will take place at over 160 partner hospitals across the country. These events aim to bring a sense of normalcy and joy to children undergoing treatment.

Founded by Spirit Halloween CEO Steven Silverstein, Spirit of Children has spent two decades raising funds to support programs that help children cope with their hospital stays. These programs often include activities such as art therapy, play therapy, and social support for patients and their families.

All proceeds from the campaign are directed to the partner hospitals. The initiative seeks to improve children's hospital stays by providing familiar and comforting experiences, thereby supporting their emotional well-being alongside their families.
