Spondylitis Association of America Appoints Two New Board Members
The Spondylitis Association of America (SAA) has added Dr. Joerg Ermann and Rob Levine to its Board of Directors. Their expertise spans spondyloarthritis research, drug development, global technology, and consumer engagement.

The Spondylitis Association of America (SAA) has expanded its leadership with the appointment of Dr. Joerg Ermann and Rob Levine to its Board of Directors. The new members bring expertise in spondyloarthritis research and care, early drug development, global business strategy, technology, and consumer engagement.
The appointments come as SAA aims to increase its reach and impact for the more than 3.2 million Americans living with spondyloarthritis. The organization focuses on improving disease awareness, reducing diagnostic delays, enhancing patient education and support, and connecting individuals with necessary resources and care.
Dr. Joerg Ermann is a rheumatologist and physician-scientist with extensive experience in spondyloarthritis. He currently works in early drug development at Johnson & Johnson. Dr. Ermann previously served as Chair of the Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network (SPARTAN) and conducted research on disease mechanisms at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Rob Levine contributes experience from the technology sector. He holds a senior director role at Apple and has previously held leadership positions at companies including RED Digital Cinema, Jawbone, Dell, and Motorola. Levine's background includes global retail channel development, strategic partnerships, and consumer engagement.
Founded in 1983, the Spondylitis Association of America is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and advocating for individuals with spondyloarthritis. SAA works to improve patient outcomes and advance treatment through education, advocacy, support, and research initiatives.
