Sport Clips Haircuts on Pace for Significant Unit Expansion By End of 2026
Sport Clips Haircuts is expanding its franchise system in 2026, aiming for a significant number of new units by year-end. The growth reflects strategic investments made post-pandemic.

Sport Clips Haircuts, a franchise system specializing in men's and boys' haircuts, is experiencing accelerated growth in its network during 2026. The company announced on July 15, 2026, that it is on track to open a substantial number of new locations by the end of the year, surpassing development activity seen in the first half of 2025.
The expansion is driven by a combination of new franchise owners, existing franchisees opening additional locations, and increased consumer demand. The nearly 1,800-unit chain is also leveraging real estate opportunities that have emerged as competitors have exited certain markets.
"We are certainly headed in the right direction," said Brent Greenwood, vice president of franchise development for Sport Clips. "We opened more stores so far this year than we did all of last year. There's just a lot of great momentum with both new and existing Team Leaders."
Company leadership attributes the growth to several years of strategic investments made after the pandemic to enhance support for franchise owners, improve technology, and position the system for long-term expansion. Sport Clips identifies opportunities across nearly every region of the country.
