Chinese AI sports-hardware company PONGBOT has completed a Series B funding round valued at hundreds of millions of RMB (approximately $14-17 million USD). Shanghai State Investment Pilot Fund led the investment, with participation from Hua Capital and Pudong Venture Capital. Existing investor BlueRun Ventures also increased its stake.
PONGBOT initially focused on table-tennis training robots before expanding into tennis and other sports. The newly raised capital will be allocated towards research in sports AI models, motion vision, and training decision systems. The funds will also support the company's international expansion efforts and local marketing operations.
The company intends to introduce products for additional sports in the future. PONGBOT had previously secured funding through three Series A financing rounds.
