SportsMed Physical Therapy opens new clinic in Jersey City

SportsMed Physical Therapy has expanded its presence in Hudson County with the opening of a new clinic in Jersey City Heights. The facility provides outpatient rehabilitation services, ranging from physical therapy and chiropractic care to acupuncture and occupational therapy.

CEO Peter N. Ponzini stated that the opening aligns with the company's goal to increase access to healthcare services across New Jersey and Connecticut. The firm currently operates 58 locations, marking a significant increase from the seven clinics it held prior to 2018.

The rapid expansion follows a partnership with Hildred Capital Management, a New York-based private equity firm specializing in the healthcare sector. The clinic represents the latest addition to the company's portfolio as it continues to scale its regional operations.
