Spryker and Daimler Truck Launch Global B2B Spare Parts Marketplace
Spryker's platform powers a new global B2B spare parts marketplace, aiming to make purchasing commercial vehicle parts faster and more convenient for business customers in Europe.
Berlin and New York – Spryker and Daimler Truck have announced a global partnership aimed at reshaping the commercial vehicle industry. The initial phase of this collaboration involves launching a new B2B spare parts webshop in Europe, designed to streamline the purchasing journey for customers.
The new marketplace seeks to make the acquisition of spare parts quicker, simpler, and more convenient for business clients. Unexpected downtime for commercial vehicles can be highly costly for businesses, and rapid access to the correct spare parts is crucial for getting vehicles back on the road.
Traditionally, the parts ordering process has often been complex and partly reliant on offline transactions, limiting customers to store opening hours and challenging schedules. The online webshop aims to enable B2B customers to focus more on servicing their trucks rather than searching for parts.
The system, built on Spryker's composable commerce platform, is designed to integrate seamlessly with the customer's existing infrastructure. Valantic implemented the solution, leveraging Spryker's enterprise marketplace and B2B commerce functionalities, emphasizing flexibility and scalability.
"We are proud to power the new global B2B spare parts marketplace," said Boris Lokschin, Co-Founder and CEO at Spryker. "For the commercial vehicle industry, time on the road is money. A flexible commerce solution that can adapt to supply chain or other unforeseen challenges is critical for ensuring that parts can be purchased quickly and reliably when needed."
