SRC Group adds Scania trucks to fleet
Construction firm SRC Group is increasing its Scania truck fleet to bolster the company's transport operations.

SRC Group, a construction, quarrying, and waste management company, has expanded its fleet with Scania trucks to support its growing operations. The firm, which marked 25 years in business in 2022, relies on its transport capabilities to deliver a wide range of services.
Originally established as Sewells Reservoir Construction, SRC Group has significantly grown its operations over its 25-year history. The company's current services include quarrying, waste management, ready-mix concrete and block manufacturing, as well as demolition, site clearance, and asbestos removal. Employing 280 staff, SRC Group operates primarily across Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and much of North London.
The company began operating its own transport eight years ago to manage product distribution, acquiring its first Scania trucks at that time. Today, Scania 8x4 tippers form the backbone of SRC Group's transport fleet.
"The feedback I receive is that Scania is quite simply the best in the eight-wheeler market," commented SRC Group Managing Director Oliver Rees. The company prioritizes safety, ensuring its Scania tippers meet Transport for London's Direct Vision Standard, a requirement crucial for its FORS and CLOCS accreditations.
