SRV to Renovate and Build New Facilities for Historic Hämeenlinna Lyseo School
SRV Group and the City of Hämeenlinna have signed an agreement for the renovation of the historically valuable upper secondary school building and the construction of a new sports and dining facility.
SRV Group is set to carry out the renovation of the historic Hämeenlinna Lyseo upper secondary school building and construct a new associated sports and dining facility. The agreement with the City of Hämeenlinna covers both the design and construction phases of the project.
The scope of work includes the refurbishment of the existing, historically significant school building. A new building for sports and dining purposes will also be constructed on the site. The project will be managed under a contract with a target price and a guaranteed maximum price.
Work is scheduled to commence in early July 2023, with completion of the school facilities targeted for the end of 2025. This timeline aims to ensure students can begin the academic year in the renovated and new spaces in autumn 2025.
The project represents a significant undertaking for both the local community and the construction sector. It highlights SRV's capabilities in managing complex renovations of heritage buildings alongside modern construction.
