St. Johns County Launches Podcast Lineup for Resident Information

St. Johns County, Florida has introduced a new series of official podcasts and radio programs designed to inform and engage the public with local government operations. This expansion aims to provide accessible information through on-demand audio, video, and live broadcasts, available on the county's website and various streaming platforms.

The initiative features three distinct programs, forming part of a wider communication strategy to boost transparency, foster community trust, and encourage public participation. Each program utilizes a different format to deliver county information to residents effectively.

"County Conversations" provides in-depth discussions with county leaders and partners, offering insights into key initiatives and services. This program is available as an audio podcast on major streaming platforms and as a video on the county's official YouTube channel. It is also broadcast on local radio in partnership with Flagler College Radio.

Another program, "Behind the SJCenes," is a collaboration with St. Augustine Radio that recaps County Commissioners' meetings and includes interviews on community topics. "The SJC Report" offers a concise summary of county news and project updates.

Matt Denny, Digital Media Manager, stated that the new lineup supports the county's strategic plan, which prioritizes community trust. The goal is to make information more accessible and meet residents where they are, thereby increasing awareness of county projects and services.
