St. Luke's Anderson Campus Approved as Level I Trauma Center in Pennsylvania
The Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation has approved St. Luke's Anderson Campus's elevation from a Level II to a Level I trauma center. The change is effective October 1, 2026.
The Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF) has approved the elevation of St. Luke's Hospital – Anderson Campus from Level II to Level I trauma center accreditation. This designation will take effect on October 1, 2026.
The approval signifies that the hospital meets the highest standards for trauma care, including the availability of comprehensive specialized services and resources for critically injured patients.
Trauma centers are designated by the PTSF to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care for severe injuries. Level I centers are equipped to handle the most complex cases and often serve as regional resources for other healthcare facilities.
With this change, St. Luke's Anderson Campus joins a select group of Level I trauma centers in Pennsylvania, enhancing the state's capacity to provide critical care and improve patient outcomes following traumatic events.
