ST Math Recognized as Math Learning Solution of the Year

MIND Education's ST Math program, a supplemental offering for Pre-K through 8th grade, has been named "Math Learning Solution of the Year" at the 2026 EdTech Breakthrough Awards. This recognition highlights the program's neuroscience-based approach to deepening students' mathematical understanding through visual learning.

ST Math employs visual problem-solving and interactive puzzles rather than language-heavy instruction, helping students build deep conceptual understanding. By removing language barriers, the program accommodates diverse classroom needs, including multilingual learners, special education students, and advanced learners.

The program's design is grounded in spatial-temporal reasoning, providing students with immediate visual feedback to understand the consequences of their choices and foster perseverance. As students progress, visual models are linked to mathematical language and symbols, facilitating a transition from conceptual understanding to formal mathematical representation.

Backed by nearly 30 years of research, ST Math has demonstrated effectiveness in accelerating academic achievement. Implementation has been shown to double or triple math proficiency growth compared to non-user schools. Consistent usage yields a statistically significant 14 percentile point advantage in statewide math rankings.
