StackRails debuts platform to provide enterprise context for AI coding agents
StackRails has launched a new tool designed to map enterprise architecture, helping AI coding agents generate code that adheres to internal system policies and reduces technical debt.

Dublin-based startup StackRails has released a platform aimed at addressing the tendency of AI coding agents to make breaking changes in complex, multi-repository codebases. Founder Alexander Wheeler noted that while AI coding tools are widely adopted, they often struggle without a deep understanding of a company’s specific internal architecture and coding policies.
StackRails uses graph technology to map an organization's code, infrastructure, APIs, and documentation into a single model. This architecture model is then fed to AI agents—such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code—as context, ensuring that generated code fits the existing environment. Furthermore, the platform automatically reviews pull requests against defined policies, flagging potential technical risks or design flaws before code is merged into production.
In addition to preventing errors, the platform creates a living map of the system, which StackRails claims helps teams maintain up-to-date documentation. The tool is available for use immediately and will be presented at the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo in Barcelona in November 2026.
