StackRails launches platform to provide enterprise context for AI coding agents

Dublin-based StackRails has launched a platform designed to map code dependencies, infrastructure, and engineering policies into a unified model. The tool provides AI coding agents with specific organizational context, allowing them to understand system dependencies before proposing code changes.

Founder Alexander Wheeler stated that the technology was developed in response to errors frequently caused by AI agents operating in complex multi-repository environments. By checking AI-generated pull requests against predefined engineering policies, the system identifies potential breaks or architectural non-compliance before the merge stage.

StackRails acts as a layer atop existing AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code rather than a replacement. The company intends to showcase its platform at the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo in Barcelona this November, where it will highlight the platform's ability to maintain up-to-date documentation and reduce engineering hours spent on debugging.
