Stardots and BrainZell launch research project for drug development
Stardots and BrainZell are linking human physiological measurements with neural organoid research to improve drug candidate screening.

Stardots and BrainZell have launched a collaborative project, Cross-AI, to bridge the gap between drug responses observed in patient-derived neural organoids and clinical measurements from human patients. The partnership utilizes artificial intelligence to assist pharmaceutical research teams in identifying drug candidates, stratifying trial participants, and evaluating treatment efficacy.
The project’s initial focus is set on bipolar disorder. By integrating Stardots’ Psilmi research platform into BrainZell’s organoid workflows, the companies aim to use human physiological data as a baseline for lab-grown neural models.
This initiative addresses a significant hurdle in the pharmaceutical industry: translating laboratory findings into accurate clinical predictions. By leveraging this combined technical expertise, the organizations intend to create a more reliable pipeline for drug development.
