STARK Group opens new distribution hub in Denmark
Building materials distributor STARK Group has opened a new, automated distribution centre in Greater Copenhagen. The investment aims to enhance supply chain efficiency and product availability.
STARK Group has inaugurated a new national distribution centre in Greater Copenhagen as part of its strategy to develop a more efficient, digital, and scalable logistics platform.
The new, highly automated facility incorporates AutoStore technology. Over time, it is expected to provide access to up to 50,000 products and support next-day deliveries across Denmark. Additionally, 35 percent of the company's Danish customers will be within a one-hour reach of the centre.
The facility expands STARK Group's capacity for light building materials and builds on logistics experience gained from its central warehouse in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The building is pre-certified to DGNB Gold and constructed using materials including glulam timber, recycled steel, and a sedum roof.
