Startup Funding Rounds: Cybersecurity and AI Lead
Major companies secured the week's largest financings: Cybersecurity firms Island and Cyera each received $400 million. AI and health technology also saw significant investments.

The startup landscape saw a surge in substantial funding rounds this past week, with cybersecurity firms leading the pack. Island and Cyera, both operating in the cybersecurity sector, each secured significant funding totaling $400 million.
Island, a developer of tools for secure enterprise digital operations, raised $400 million in a Series F financing round. The investment, led by Evolution Equity Partners, placed the company's valuation at $6.4 billion, more than doubling its previous valuation.
Cyera, a provider of enterprise data security tools for both human and AI agents, raised $400 million in a Series G extension. The round was co-led by Evolution Equity Partners and Goldman Sachs Growth Equity, bringing the New York-based company's total funding to $2.7 billion.
Other sectors attracting significant capital include foundational AI, where Snorkel AI raised $350 million, and biotech, with Enveda securing $311 million for AI-enabled drug discovery.
Additional notable funding rounds were secured by Precision Neuroscience (brain-computer interface technology), Hubble Network (satellite communications), Rightway (pharmacy benefits), Rainmaker (cloud seeding), and Numeral (tax compliance), as well as Micro1 (AI training data).
