Startup Funding Rounds Lean Heavily into AI
The largest venture funding rounds for U.S. startups this week were dominated by AI companies. Instinct secured the top spot, raising $1 billion.

Recent venture funding rounds in the U.S. show a significant concentration in artificial intelligence companies. The largest single investment was a $1 billion Series C round for Instinct, which develops AI assistants for everyday tasks.
Instinct, a year-old company based in San Francisco, secured its $1 billion funding at a $10 billion valuation, with participation from investors including Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, and Coatue.
Other substantial funding rounds in the AI sector included EliseAI, which deploys AI for the home rental industry and raised $350 million, and Armadin, an AI-native cybersecurity firm that secured $255.5 million.
Additional large rounds featured GMI Cloud, which raised $223 million for GPU cloud infrastructure, General Intuition, securing $220 million for AI trained on video and virtual worlds, and SiMa.ai, which received $150 million for scaling physical AI applications.
