Starz Channels May Be Removed From Verizon Fios Amid Contract Dispute
Starz has issued a statement warning that its channels, on-demand content, and app could be removed from Verizon Fios. Negotiations for a distribution agreement have reached a critical juncture.

Verizon Fios customers may soon lose access to all STARZ channels, STARZ On Demand, and the STARZ app, according to a statement released by the network on September 30, 2026. The potential disruption comes as distribution agreement negotiations between STARZ and Verizon have stalled.
Alison Hoffman, President of STARZ Networks, stated that while negotiations have proceeded in good faith, an immediate agreement is necessary to avoid service interruption. "Unless an agreement is reached imminently, our viewers should be prepared for Verizon to remove STARZ," Hoffman said. She emphasized STARZ's role as an independent programmer dedicated to women and underrepresented audiences, arguing that limiting access would reduce competition and consumer choice in the media landscape.
If the parties fail to reach a deal, Verizon Fios subscribers would lose access to popular programming, including the "Power" Universe, "Outlander" and its prequel, and the upcoming season of "P-Valley," as well as STARZ's film library.
STARZ, traded on NASDAQ as STRZ, is a premium entertainment service known for its programming targeting women and underrepresented audiences.
