Card fraud involves criminals using stolen or fake Medicare information to obtain medical services or prescriptions under another person's identity. This can lead to improper billing, identity theft, and potential disruption of legitimate healthcare services for victims.
StateWide, with 54 years of experience serving seniors, emphasized the importance of vigilance. The organization encourages seniors to review all Medicare statements and bills carefully for any unusual activity.
