Steam Game Free Before Paid Transition
The casual flying game "Fly Over! 100KM! Mountains!" on Steam will transition to a paid model on November 16. Players can add the game to their library for free before this date.
The digital gaming platform Steam is offering the casual flying game "Fly Over! 100KM! Mountains!" for free, ahead of its transition to a paid model on November 16. Players have until this date to add the game to their Steam library without charge.
The game presents a simple simulation where players pilot an aircraft, tasked with avoiding obstacles over a 100-kilometer flight. The aircraft moves forward automatically, with players using WASD keys or a controller's joystick to navigate and dodge impediments.
Key gameplay mechanics involve evading obstacles, managing health points, and surviving an encroaching tornado. Collisions with obstacles deplete health, and the game ends when all health points are lost. Health can be replenished by collecting heart items scattered throughout the flight path.
Additionally, players must contend with a tornado that advances from behind, which also reduces health if caught. To outrun it, players can accelerate by pressing the spacebar or a controller's B button. This acceleration consumes fuel, which must be replenished by collecting energy orbs found in the air.
The game is available on Steam at https://store.steampowered.com/app/3943750/100KM/. The change to a paid model is scheduled for November 16.
