The PC gaming platform Steam has generated $15 billion in revenue for its parent company Valve this year. These earnings represent Valve's share from the sale of games, DLC, and software distributed through the platform.

According to analysis firm Alinea Analytics, new game releases on Steam have collectively generated approximately $1 billion for Valve to date. This figure accounts for 6.6% of the platform's total revenue so far in 2026.

"Forza Horizon 6" has emerged as the top-earning new game on Steam this year, reportedly generating around $210.5 million for Valve. It is followed by "Redfall" with an estimated $203.3 million and "Resident Evil: Requiem" with $200.9 million.

The report indicates that new titles contribute a relatively small portion of the overall revenue. However, new intellectual properties like "Redfall" and "Meccha Chameleon" can have a substantial impact on sales. Several major game releases are still anticipated later in the year, including "Gears of War: E-Day" and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4".
