SteelSeries Launches New Sensei Pro and Rival Pro Gaming Mice
SteelSeries has officially launched its new flagship gaming mice, the Sensei Pro and Rival Pro. These models feature Ultra-Wideband (UWB) connectivity, a hot-swap battery system, and an upgraded sensor.
SteelSeries officially unveiled its new Sensei Pro and Rival Pro flagship gaming mice on September 29. Both models will be available in standard and Mini sizes.
The new mice utilize Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless connection technology, operating in the 6.4–9.056 GHz frequency band. This provides low interference and wide bandwidth, enabling up to a 9kHz polling rate and a 0.35ms click latency.
The Sensei Pro and Rival Pro are equipped with SteelSeries' TrueMove 42K Pro sensor, based on the PixArt PAW3955 chipset. This optical sensor has a maximum tracking speed of 800 inches per second and can track movement at up to 20,000 frames per second in its highest performance mode. The mice also feature optical microswitches with a 0.2ms response time and a rated lifespan of 100 million clicks.
A notable feature is the dual battery module hot-swap system, allowing batteries to be exchanged without interrupting usage. The UWB receiver also doubles as a battery charger. A single battery module offers approximately 80 hours of usage at a 1kHz polling rate and 32 hours at 8kHz.
The global pricing for both the Sensei Pro and Rival Pro is set at $179.99. The Mini version is already available for pre-order in China for 1399 yuan.
